A mixed competition in spite of Silvana*HDC's victory

The GCT of London had very well begun for Kevin Staut… And nevertheless, it ended on a wrong note, leaving a taste bitter to the one who saw in Silvana's victory in the big class of Friday evening, the end of this bad period who he knows for several weeks.

Kevin Staut: "The last weekend, I performed a very good competition in Mannheim. On Friday, in London, Silvana's victory in the big class confirmed to me that a new beautiful period was announced.
It was short-lived because from the next day, in the Grand Prix, Elky and I commit three fences down and, on Sunday, in the Massimo Dutti Trophy, Silvana qualifies herself for the jump-off but stops on the fence n°2 of this last course. It shows that nothing is ever won in our sport. It is not not to be in the ranking which bothers me. I would like to find the explanation which makes that Silvana sometimes stops without real reason. She performed two sublime courses on Friday evening, without any hesitation. On Saturday, she worked normally and everything seemed correct. On Sunday, she made a very good first course to get her qualification for the jump-off. This situation is rather destabilizing, especially as that makes several times that it repeats.

As for Elky, she was a little tired and began to cough slightly upon her arrival in London. As she performed a good course in a 1,45 m class on Friday afternoon, I had chosen to enter her all the same in the Grand Prix, but that did not take place as I would have wanted. Elky committed three faults which I have justified by this small temporary loss of form. We are going to check everything by security this week.

Elky will be at rest this weekend. As for Silvana and I, we will be present in Dinard as of thursday afternoon, on the occasion of the first CSI5* organized on the ground of the Val Porée."
