For Joy van't Zorgvliet*HDC made his return in competition in Deauville

After nearly a year of absence following an intervention, For Joy van't Zorgvliet*HDC made his return in competition, the last weekend, on the occasion of a national competition which took place at the Pôle International du Cheval in Deauville. Sunday Top*HDC was also present to continue her learning on intermediate classes.

Kevin Staut: "I am delighted to this competition in Deauville. It feels good to compete from time to time "at home". This allows to meet the actors of the local equestrian sector, to see how evolve our discipline at national level, to identify future top horses… This is very positive and this allows to leave the international circuit within which we are all the year. I also was able to give some rest to my top horses, to put back For Joy on the competition circuit and to take stock on Sunday Top's work on intermediate tests.

I am very satisfied with For Joy, who after a long break, makes an excellent return in competition by signing two faultless courses in classes at 1,25 m. For Joy will continue on this type of tests during several competitions in order to make a progressive return in competition. He is currently in top form but I don't want to make him take any risk, especially as we don't have any specific objective for the outdoor season.

Sunday Top pursues her learning. We have made the choice to put her back on the national circuit some time for she progresses at her own rhythm. My teammate Franck Schillewaert also rides her and complements my work with her. This seems appropriate for Sunday who gets a 4th place in the 1.35 m on sunday and who makes a small fault on the water jump in the 1,40 m Grand Prix which was held yesterday.
The result of this weekend is quite positive.

This week, we'll be back on the international circuit. The mythical CSI5* of Aachen will welcome us as of Friday and it will serve us as a preparation for the European Championships which will held in August at the same place. Rêveur and Qurack will be my horses for the weekend."
